Okay, so I'm terribly cheap - or just extra poor lately.
And I've had it with shelling out for bills that just won't go faaar aaaaaway (They keep finding me. Dammit).
So I celebrate an unexpected windfall or saving at the checkout by holding my breath (retail staff can sense something is amiss by the heavy breathing and blinking that plagues the bargain seeker onto a goldmine) and mentally praying until I'm safely out the door and out of their terrible mind control radius. (I've been reading alot of dystopian scifi novels lately and the cracks are beginning to show)
Then I do a wonderful happy dance (bouncing, mentally checking if I have any money left in the bank, then resume bouncing) and gloat.
I've gloated a lot lately - my eagle eye for a veritible steal is in overdrive lately.
But when you swap jobs and realise your work outfits are a. terrible. b. don't fit so well, and c. you're just over it - it's time for a revamp in tiny controlled scrooge-ish baby steps. One must start to seek out quality and controlled shrewd additions to the wardrobe. I always seem to gravitate to elegant glitter.
Hence this is now in my possession:
Beats a lump of coal. Or light up christmas earrings.
