I'm still lurking about, issuing questionable advice to all and sundry, and generally trying to evade the perils of reality.
I have managed to dig through my 'wardrobes' of life - apply this to literal clothing, sort out financial anomalies, focus on the good stuff and generally jettison things (slowly, I might add) that cause me discomfort.
I have some, but not a lot of friends, which is my fault and yet at the mercy of a bit of karmic weeding. sometimes one must let it go. Just untether it. float and be free, or at least, lessen the burden.
Like a wardrobe clean out, I now try to deal with life as such: fling out anything that is itchy, smelly, shrunken, loose, ratty, see-through, gaudy, on the lamb-mutton borderline, stained, depressing, repulsive, or just makes your eyes roll and silent swearing to commence.
It is a noble thing to grow up, and yet stay young.
I am fitter, not lighter, but I am older and the joy of maturity is discovering that thinner is fine, but healthier and fitter is better. So I weigh the same, but because I'm getting fitter (hello boxing!) my lower back and I are not have a domestic tiff to the level that neighbours call the cops. I can now smack it back on to the ropes, so to speak. Ka-pow!
I still like my movies old, B&W, and full of glamorous threads.
I am trying to get my life outside work to align with this philosophy.
I still aspire to be me, glamorous and interesting, certainly not fashionable, but me.

| I am a very stylish girl. Check out my cape of death. |
I'm also writing again:
- a steam punk time travel fin de siecle feminist novel (oh, one of those, pffft)
- a modern mystic comedy.
- a 40's pulp EC horror style novella
